That devotional is very powerful stuff - I think Pris also made Kahlan say it to protect herself in one of her fics. Of course it does mean Kahlan's somewhat bound to Darken now (not that I'm complaining, I'm loving where this is going!) And yay for Nila saving the day :D

I liked seeing this from Nila's POV, and Nila's asides about her annoying brother. Very nice chapter :D
