Wow - what an incredible tale. You write conflicted Kahlan and Dark!Kahlan so well.
The last few lines of the first half were so evocative. That, after all of her struggle, a part of Kahlan is just relieved in a sense, to give herself up to the darkness and to Darken, but then still feeling all of the horror of her situation, and feeling so responsible for all of it.
I loved this. But like so many of your fics, it leaves me wanting to know more.
If this is set in the middle of season 2, I have to wonder about how your Kahlan will react when Darken really does appear in the flesh, wanting not to destroy the world but to save himself from the Keeper - When the nightmare overlaps with reality, but is also very different.
(And when sleeping with Darken would no longer mean the end of the world - at least literally.)
