I'm glad to see Darken worried about Nila, and that he's finally put his panic aside and thought about using his Rahl magic to find her - and you add in another bit of info about the World Mirror, which I want to see more of :D
“If she is anywhere in this world,” Darken replied. He did not add that he could not scry past the Veil to the Underworld—nor through a sufficiently powerful magical barrier. I see this as Darken not wanting to worry Kahlan further, a sweet gesture.
because she could see nothing—not even her own reflection I'm interested in how the scrying mirror works, what it looks like...
Surely Darken had Mord'Sith search the Palace, even the dungeons, knowing his daughter is reckless and rather fearless? So more than one head will roll for this, I'd imagine.
Becky's comment about Nila confessing Cindi seems a very in-character response, and with some fairness to it. Nila could have been killed by her 'training', and Cindi will probably be executed anyway, so why not give Nila the opportunity for revenge. Whether she wants revenge or not would be quite interesting.
